Make the Most of Your Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT)

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water during the 24 hours following your manipulation. When muscle spasms are relaxed, they release toxins (metabolic waste such as lactic acid) that are easily flushed from the body by drinking lots of fluids.
  • DON'T do strenuous weightlifting or similar activity for 24 hours after treatment. Your body needs time to adjust.
  • Dr. Hadley often recommends a variety of stretches, exercises, breathing relaxation techniques, yoga, and proper nutrition to further improve your body's health.
